How to Post to a Blog Using Folders

Post to a Blog Using Folders

Start by connecting to a blog provider. Once you connect to your blog, you can create a folder that will auto-post. When you create or edit a Voice Folder, Audio Folder or Video Folder you can select a blog which will be automatically posted to when that folder receives new media.

Once you create the folders, you can assign a blog which will be automatically posted to when new content appears in the folder.  This way, you can allow your friends and website guests to add media to your blog without needing to go through you.

To Auto-Post to a Blog Using a New Folder:

  1. Click on the "Audio" or "Video" tab
  2. Click on the "New Audio Folder", "New Voice Folder" or "New Video Folder" button (on the left sidebar)
  3. Under the "Post to Blog or Podcast" section, select "Post to Blog"

  4. Select the "Blog" you want to auto-post to
  5. Click "Create New Folder"

To Auto-Post to a Blog Using an Existing Folder:

  1. Click on the "Audio" or "Video" tab
  2. Select the audio, voice or video folder (on the left sidebar)
  3. Click "Edit Folder" (under the folder)
  4. Under the "Post to Blog or Podcast" section, select "Post to Blog"

  5. Select the "Blog" you want to auto-post to
  6. Click "Update Folder"

How Do Folders Work with Blogging

Folders allow you to organize your audio and video media so that you don't end up with one large list of media but instead you can group related media items together.

Usually you would use folders by creating them and moving your uploaded content into them manually.  There are two features on the PubClip service, however, that allow you to create new media and have it automatically assigned to a folder:

  1. Web Recorder Mini

The Web Recorder Mini allows you to select the Audio Folder and Video Folder where the newly created media will be placed.

Put a Web Recorder Mini on your website which lets visitors record audio and video testimonials for you. The testimonials can automatically be posted to your blog or they can be set to "Draft" to await your approval. It's that simple.

  2. Voice Folders

Voice Folders are a special type of Audio Folder that receive their own phone number and extension.

Create a Voice Folder which lets you and your visitors leave a message without ever entering a pin code, listening to a menu, or requiring a computer! The messages can automatically be posted to your blog.
