How Does Bandwidth Usage Work with Video?

Video Bandwidth Usage

PubClip does not currently charge for disk space to store your media. However, we do charge for extra bandwidth when media is downloaded. PubClip give you a whopping 5 gigabytes (GB) to start with each month with your monthly membership.

The current video on the front page of pubclip.com has these properties:

   Length: 1 minute, 33 seconds
   File Size: 3.45 MB

That means that approximately 1.5 minutes = 3.5 megabytes (MB). If your video has a similar quality and size ratio then a 1 minute video might be about 2.5 MB. Since 1000 MB = 1 GB, you could have a 1 minute video downloaded about 2000 times for 5 GB. After that each additional 1 GB or about every 400 downloads will cost you just $1.00 more.

This is a *very* rough estimate. Please monitor your account for your actual usage.
